Boudoir Grand piano by Carl Heine of Stuttgart made in approx 1930 with a black ebonised case and ivory keys. It is an elegant piano, very much in the style of the erea, and has decorative hexagonal shaped legs embellished with hand carvings, fretwork music holder and sliders. The internals of the piano are stunningly painted in gold.
The strings are in reasonable condition for the age of the piano and it was tuned regularly until recently, the pin board appears to be sound having no visible cracks or breaks (to my non-expert eye).
The piano does need some attention: there is a small chip to the ebony veneer; a small patch of crazing on the side edge; a crack to the fretwork music holder, one lid hinge needs a new spindle; one note has string(s) missing; some of the ivories are discoloured and one is missing. Please see photos.
Dimensions inches/cm from pianists viewpoint: Width 57/145; Depth 66/168; Height 38/97
This is a lovely elegant piano, very evocative of its era, and has a beautiful rich sound.
Included is a black double piano stool upholstered in green dralon with music storage.
Must go by 20th December due to house sale. Viewing can be arranged. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer them.
