The reconditioning work carried out included new strings,new tuning pins, new hammers and new action parts including the shanks, leathers, felts, damper felts, key bushings and keybed felts. Most of the parts used were from Germany. The piano is in good condition, but requires some work to regulate the dampers, action and keyboard. Our children have grown up and are leaving home, so the piano is no longer played, although it is still tuned regularly.
