Kawai grand piano
Approximately 5'10" (178cm)
Mahogany finish (or maybe Walnut satin - see photos)
This piano is just a couple of inches short of 6ft so sounds wonderful. It's a lucky find - it came from a corporate board room where it had been looked after but hardly touched. It's at concert pitch and the hammers are almost as good as new.
I've been using this piano to play diploma level music and it would suit a serious student who is very interested in tone. I think this has a beautiful tone - rich but not at all harsh - although I realise this is down to personal taste!
I'm selling the piano, reluctantly, as in our current home, I can't squeeze my fellow musicians around it in rehearsals. This is a private sale. If you are a dealer, please don't get in touch as I'm not in any rush to sell this instrument.
Condition
There are one or two scratches on the case but otherwise this piano is in superb condition - as you can see in the photographs. I live in Brighton (50 mins on train from London Victoria) and you are welcome to try out this piano before offering to buy.
Practical details
The price does not include delivery. Please bear in mind that you'll need the services of a professional piano mover if you decide to buy this wonderful instrument. Removal costs are to be met by the buyer. The piano is currently on the ground floor of our home.
