This piano was bought new about 20 years ago by my local church and has given good service ever since. It has been tuned regularly and is in good working order. The church has now decided to buy a Clavinova as this better suits the set-up in its recently-opened new building, so the piano needs a new home.
It was made by John Broadwood & Son and has a brown wooden casing and a stool that seats two (the lid lifts to provide some storage for music books). The casing is faded and marked in places but the internal workings are sound so there are many years of enjoyment remaining.
A valuer from Hickies music store has recently valued it at £1,500 and commented that it is a good piano which would be worth twice as much if the casing was in pristine condition. So it's a bit of a bargain really!
