Unique J. B. Streicher

I would like to offer for sale: Historic GRAND PIANO FORTE by J.B.STREICHER WIEN, app. 1880. Neobaroque case in walnut. Compass 7octaves AAA-a’’’’. Brilliant viennese action. Two pedals. Dimensions: Length = 240cm, Width = 137cm. Production number: 8216.  It has a warm, singing tone in the treble and a full, rich sound in the bass - the best quality Viennese piano making of the 2nd half of the 19th century can offer.

The firma of J. B. Streicher was even more famous than Boesendorfer and preferred by Liszt, Brahms and many others. This istrument is identical to that Streicher Grand Piano, on which Brahms played his historic redordings at the Fellinger family. Brahms owned a Streicher Piano himself. Condition of the Grand piano: good, unrestored original status. Tuning and cleaning of the action is of course required. Location: Vienna, Austria. More photos will be sent by e-mail.
