Reluctantly selling due to lack of space my much-loved Kimball Boudoir Grand Piano. Purchased in 2000 from the Tavistock Piano Centre (£4200) after a full refurbishment and recondition. I immediately took to this piano for it's consistent action, bright tone. I'm a recovering grade 8 pianist and this instrument has really helped me along the way. I picked it as I suspected it would be lower maintenance than an early 1900s antique, and so it has proved to be.
It's been in regular use, and has been recently serviced / tuned by a local expert who valued it at £2500 - £3000. He also quoted £200 for french-polishing the lid which does, it has to be said show a lot of marking where water has leaked from pot plants (my dear spouse has insisted on placing there over the past 10 years). Don't be discouraged, the veneer has not been affected in any way and this will all polish right out.
For those who don't know, Kimball are an American firm who sold a lot of pianos in the UK in the 1970s. This piano has all the traditional American Design cues, square shoulders and a square-looking lid. I've found a number of these listed on Ebay in the US, and they are selling for $4k.
Price includes Duet Stool
I've priced this to sell, am open to sensible offers. You will no doubt want to arrange your own collection by a qualified moved, or I can arrange this for you at additional cost.
